Charles Hope
He was born in Edinburgh where he lived until the 1962 Fringe with the Cambridge University Theatre Group, but has lived in a village in Surrey since 1964 after he went to work in London as an engineer with the BBC, who 'retired' him in 1996. His last 23 years there were spent advising on tv and radio reception. This meant being out somewhere in the country looking at either new transmiters or just problems. This took him just about everywhere in the UK - and islands from Shetlands and Orkneys to IOW and Jersey.
Now he's retired, Charles spends his time with amatuer theatre (lighting) when not using his Iyonix for DTP. He looks forward to his wife's retirement so they can consider returning to Edinbugh.
