Jeremy Nicoll
As of Oct 2006, Jeremy is 47, single, lives in Edinburgh, has had ME/CFS for 6-7 years and no longer works. After a degree in Computational Science and a first job as a mainframe applications programmer he became systems programmer working for Bank of Scotland, and latterly a programming team leader there working on operator automation (programs which replaced computer operators, and did things like shutting down and restarting the whole mainframe service, monitoring for system problems etc).
Jeremy used to sing in the Scottish Chamber Orchestra's Chorus and the Edinburgh Festival Chorus but had to give these up because of poor health. He'd sung in other choirs over the years and out of that developed a hobby doing recordings of concerts. He'd started with one mic and cassette deck and progressed to digital multitracks, mixing desks and hundreds of yards of mic cable.
