David, who is divorced, lives in a village near Salisbury, Wiltshire and provides a home for his Mum, plus a cat and a Border Collie.

He used to be a science and IT Teacher, but now runs a restored tidemill as a working flour mill / museum, plus a neighbouring local history heritage centre.

David's hobbies are Writing, Reading, History and watching science fiction, fantasy and thrillers. He also has occasional bursts of enthusiasm for activities that start as 'research' for the writing - and at various times used to fence, ride horses, do archery. etc.
